I have been in Rabbits since I was a child almost 30 years off and on. I stepped away from Rabbits briefly when I was in the Navy. We found it too hard with our moving three times in four years to keep any. I still had one as a pet.

As a city girl with indulgent parents there was always some way to fill my life with animals. Whether I was spending summers with my father up in Marysville, CA on his 40-acre ranch riding his Arab mare or helping irrigate the fields (and running from his Brahma bull) or back down in the heart of urban Pasadena out walking my pet Nubian goat, I have always yearned for acres of pasture filled with a multitude of different domestic livestock.

My husband and I have been members of the ARBA only since 2004. Our rabbitry number is X208. In the past two years I have discovered that we have a remnant of the American Blue and White rabbit up here in the Province of Alberta, probably brought here by farmers from a Christian sect called the Hutterites.
