I have been in Rabbits since I was a child almost 30 years off and on. I stepped away from Rabbits briefly when I was in the Navy. We found it too hard with our moving three times in four years to keep any. I still had one as a pet.

I've been raising and showing rabbits for about 3 years now. After the purchase of our first home, my husband and I began researching a means of raising livestock in our small lot on the edge of rural Pennsylvania.

Hello, my name is Chris Hemp. I am a three year veteran of raising Americans in both Blue and White. I am also a widow, a grandmother of six, a Jill of all trades and master of one. :) I grew up with rabbits as a source of meat along with the cows, pigs, etc. on a small family farm.

As a city girl with indulgent parents there was always some way to fill my life with animals. Whether I was spending summers with my father up in Marysville, CA on his 40-acre ranch riding his Arab mare or helping irrigate the fields (and running from his Brahma bull) or back down in the heart of urban Pasadena out walking my pet Nubian goat, I have always yearned for acres of pasture filled with a multitude of different domestic livestock.

My husband, Dan, and I live on 2-1/2 acres in Southern California. I have been raising rabbits for almost 30 years. I have had many breeds but now raise mostly Holland Lops and American Blues.

Nancy Richmond resides near Moscow, Idaho with her husband. She has been raising rabbits since her first purchase in 1992. Following her passion for rare rabbits, she brags of seven rare breeds in her barn. Americans have been with her since Convention '02. Currently, Nancy has thirty-four Americans.

I first started raising rabbits with my father in 1956, and I've always had a few rabbits thoughout my various careers, but only begin showing in earnset three years ago. I raise Americans, both Blue and Whites, Silver Fox and Blanc de Hotot.

My husband and I have been members of the ARBA only since 2004. Our rabbitry number is X208. In the past two years I have discovered that we have a remnant of the American Blue and White rabbit up here in the Province of Alberta, probably brought here by farmers from a Christian sect called the Hutterites.
